ICE in L.A. just received a delivery of weapons from the military, via Blackhawk helicopter. Be safe. Stay home tonight. Tomorrow is another day to show up and peacefully protest #UnmaskICE #NoMartialLaw

There are ZERO riots. I am in downtown Los Angeles. There are live feeds of everything that was here and what went down in Paramount. Dudes on mini bikes making noise and people holding Fuck Ice signs etc. But no violence from protesters. None. Cannot say the same about the opposition.
Anyone saying, with any seriousness, that there is rioting in Los Angeles gets an immediate block.

Trust me, if LA was rioting, you would know.

Trump called the Los Angeles ICE protests “rebellion”

Steven Miller: “insurrection”

If emergency powers are invoked Trump can use the military

Suspend habeas corpus

Even put people in concentration camps

The images seen in LA have been chilling

But what Trump might do next could end democracy

Amidst Pete Hegseth’s announcement regarding the Marines, activists in Los Angeles are hearing that 500 Army members in Long Beach, just outside Los Angeles, were put on standby. The Army is there this weekend for what was to be the largest military exercise in history. @meidastouch.com

there is no rioting. nobody is looting. Nobody is burning random stuff down. This is just americans rising up to protect their neighbors from the ICE brownshirts.
I guess no one’s ever going to learn the lesson that rioting in the streets almost always benefits the right wing in American politics.
Save me your speeches about Watts. It’s been almost a perfect record since 1968.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said on social media that California National Guard was being taken over by the federal government “not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.”

Earlier today ICE agents hit someone with a car and tear gassed a neighborhood, sparking several fires and disrupting businesses.

Immigrants, by contrast, did not.
ICE is a much greater threat to this country than illegal immigrants. The current administration ia by far the greatest threat this country faces. The problem is not st our borders. It is in the White House.

Now Hegseth is saying that the active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton are on alert to come in if the National Guard isn’t enough.

The U.S. government is ready to unleash our own military on civilians.

It is definitely time to be frightened about what is happening here.

The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.

Don't give them one.

Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.

It’s National Trails Day. As a lover of hiking and the outdoors, I’m concerned by the recent cuts to the National Park Service–threatening the long-term maintenance of our parks and trails. I’ll keep doing all I can to protect our natural treasures and the economies that rely on them.

“A peaceful protest, and this is what we’re greeted with. Where’s our right to protest?”

As Governor Newsom says, they want violence and a spectacle.

Imagine the reaction if Biden sent thousands of National Guardsmen and Blackhawks to Tennessee against Gov Lee’s wishes.

1/4. On the White House’s theory, if they abduct you, get you on a helicopter, get to international waters, shoot you in the head, and drop your corpse into the ocean, that is legal, because it is the conduct of foreign affairs.
