If you want to call yourself transsexual, that's fine. And separately, if you want to make a distinction between trans people who (desire to) medically transition and those who don't, we can see utility in that. The backlash is because this paradigm transphobically frames some trans ppl as being cis
TBH we don't have a problem with making the distinction, what we take issue with is language for that distinction being transsexual and cissexual, which in actual usage outside Online Discourse Hell are just synonymous with transgender and cisgender.
