cookie monster, crying, as the body of christ just crumbles and falls from his mouth
the line is actually "no JESUS for us meeses," an oblique reference to the fact that, as muppets are unable to take communion, they are forbidden from entering the kingdom of god

Grow up.
A superb innings from Mitchell Starc comes to an end 🙌

Ben’s got a playlist of things Paddy likes to listen at the moment and it’s the Canberra Raiders song (yes they have one) and Taylor Swift, and I think that‘s beautiful.

Really sums up this moment doesn't it. (Sorry for contributing to Kirk discourse, I really should not know who that guy was)
Ezra Klein using Kirk’s death to celebrate some imaginary version of liberalism that only exists in his head… as the US right is using it to further entrench fascism and obliterate anyone who doesn’t echo Trump’s views on Kirk and what lead to his death…

Insane.

Immigration Policy Compromise Theory has been tested.

GOP moderates tried after Romney lost, then got primaried by nativists.

Dems tried it last year, with a bill that gave GOP most of what it wanted. They blocked it, then won the election.

Reasonable concerns about border security this is not.
There is no compromise policy Democrats can offer Republicans to make them act normal on this issue. We simply have to state the basic reality — immigrants contribute to our country in myriad ways — and fight for it. I don't know how so many journalists convinced themselves this isn't an option.

Very well irrigated now.
If your kid needs a solid sinus cleanse after adenoid surgery, can I recommend having their AFL team be down 24-2 in an elimination final? Lot of crying really lubricates the nasal passages.

One of the reasons I feel so hopeless is that everyone invents a GOP that doesn't do the unpopular stuff that it is doing and a Dem party that does do unpopular stuff that it isn't, and I just don't know a way out
I actually agree that Democrats should refrain from using most of these. And they already do! When was the last time a Senator said 'heteronormative'?

The bigger problem is that orgs like Third Way are reinforcing this false, right-wing narrative. Dems can't stop doing something they're not doing!
Scoop: Third Way is circulating a memo, shared first with @playbookdc, featuring a new blacklist of words Dems shouldn’t use.
