Genocide is enabled by things like RNZ having no front page stories on Gaza for weeks, and a top billing now for 20 killed by tornados in the USA.
I’m very sad for those people, but if 20 is the trigger for a news story, where are the Gaza stories in our papers!?

Took an injured Kōtare to the bird recovery centre in Whangārei and it was the sweetest experience! dive bombed by birds at the door & a lovely old guy let the Kōtare latch on to his finger, explaining that the aggression was a sign of good recovery. They’ll call me to pick her up if she makes it 🙏🏽

2.30am is when I find out the giant dog I’m looking after is terrified of storms and needs to literally sleep on top of me with some classical music playing. One of us is now fast asleep.

Storm warning in Te Taitokerau - wind and rain picking up outside and my phone battery is currently on 3% - time to charge it and make sure I have lots of water in case power goes out.
