Here’s Kooyong Liberal candidate Amelia Hamer telling you she’s a 'renter'.

But Amelia isn’t being completely honest.

In fact, she's being outright deceptive, and the millennial renters in particular who Amelia has tried to deceive will feel angry.

Let me lay it out.

Adding a battery to home solar saves families up to $1000/year on electricity.
I've been pushing the parties for measures like these battery subsidies, to help homes and small businesses electrify.
No one should be left behind in the energy transition.
Labor to subsidise home batteries up to $4000 for households
The prime minister is doubling down on his clean energy ambitions in response to criticisms of soaring power bills.

Excluding dental from Medicare is a 5-decade old mistake. It would cost $11bn/yr to give all Australians basic dental care - way less than the $45 bn we lose in productivity from emergency and untreated dental issues - and the $14.5bn/y our government spends on subsidising fossil fuel industries.
Dentists want a free oral health plan for seniors as hospitalisations surge
As data shows thousands of over-65s are winding up in hospital with oral health issues, the Australian Dental Association is calling for a scheme that gives seniors access to free dental work.

Three Chinese warships sailed into Sydney Harbour in June 2019

At the time reportedly unannounced

The Government of the day was … umm … the LNP Government

The Defence Minister was Linda Reynolds

The Home Affairs Minister was - checks notes - one Peter Dutton ...

If a Government is trying to rush a bill through Parliament, then odds are something fishy is going on.

@amyremeikis.bsky.social explains just how the donation reform changes could reinforce the two-party system, and shut out independents and new parties. #auspol

This Parliament has not passed bills addressing the homelessness and rental crises, and other cost of living issues.

But the major parties colluded this week on legislation increasing their own public funding, and making it harder for independents to be elected.

Priorities.
