True words
NEW: A searing editorial in the The Kyiv Independent.

“It’s time to say it plainly. America’s leadership has switched sides in the war. The American people have not, and they should speak up.

“A president just disrespected America in the Oval Office. It wasn’t Zelensky.”

Facts are important
This is an excellent and timely factsheet on Ukraine, U.S. v. European security assistance, and other misunderstood or lied about aspects of the war, by our friends at @thestudyofwar.bsky.social. I'll summarize a few main points below, with additional sources of my own:
Institute for the Study of War
Russian forces currently occupy around 20 percent of Ukraine, leaving the remaining 80 percent of the country under Ukraine's sovereign control. At the current rate of advance, it would take Russian f...

This needs to be said DAILY!!

We have Mitch McConnell to thank for this nightmare (& ourselves for not voting both when we knew there was an open SCOTUS seat & again knowing about Project 2025/Jan 6, 2021)
Impeachment is a dead letter with the current GOP. The Founders thought Congress would defend its imperatives.

Important for all states!
Please pay attention to this case being argued in the 4th Circuit tomorrow. It could determine whether the GOP succeeds in stealing a NC Supreme Court seat by disenfranchising 60,000 voters.

Follow @democracydocket.com for full coverage of this critical case.

Quite sad
America deserves better, get it together GOP Senators, or do you have no principles left?
THIS is who Republicans confirmed tonight to oversee the most powerful military in the world:

• A Drunkard
• An Accused Rapist
• An Unqualified Degenerate
• A White Nationalist
• A Fox News Personality

They chose the safety of their seats over the safety of our nation.

It's a HELL NO on Hegseth!

Call, write, or use Resistbot to contact your Senators. Tell them that Pete Hegseth is extraordinarily unfit to lead the Department of Defense!

Looking forward to Yhe Contrarian!
I’m really delighted to be one of the contributors to the pro-democracy new media group, The Contrarian. More news about this coming later today!
The Contrarian masthead already the strongest pro-democracy group in the country, probably stronger than all of legacy media combined. Check it out (and it’s already growing beyond this):

Had some groceries delivered. Reminded myself to grab them right away because there are bagels in there, and sometimes squirrels eat the bagels if I'm not quick. Went out there, one paper bag was labeled BREAD. Very quickly felt my brain go, "Well, jeez, don't write it on the bag."
