It's 2015. President Barack Obama has accepted a "sky palace" jumbo jet from the Qatari government, which he'll own after he leaves office. "Everybody relax," he says in an interview with the New York Times. Everyone does. The networks then televise the military parade in his honor on his birthday.

Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

The amazing Trumpian future - armies of people screwing in screws
Lutnick: "The army of millions and millions of human beings screwing in little screws to make iPhones -- that kind of thing is going to come to America."

There is an enormous business in cheap-shit haul content that teaches people that a dress should cost $50 at most and anything else is overpriced, and it’s going to be wild to see what happens to that business over the next few months.
There are already clothes made/assembled in America. Most of them are sewn by Latino and Asian women. And consumers complain that these companies are “price gouging” because a t-shirt is priced higher than the $25 they’re used to paying.

The top 7 donors in the 2024 election — all GOP — gave a combined $1B to buy Trump a second term.

It's a gigantic amount of money in total — but it's just pocket change to them.

We must get Big Money out of politics.

No one from either party should be able to buy an election.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

If your goal this year is to read more books, remember:

you don’t have to finish every book you start. If you’re halfway through and can’t stand the characters or just don’t care what happens, it’s okay to put it down.

Life’s too short to read books you don’t love!

I did not know that Sarah McBride is a widow. What a heartbreaking story.
