Sometimes Mothers Day can be a loaded day, but I got some really nice messages, a great breakfast, beautiful weather, meaningful time with a former student, a good conversation with my own mom, and was given the honor of presenting the Marian crown at Mass (throwing back to 1994). Such a good day.

My personal coping method is leaning hard into being Irish. Abiding sense of tragedy, dark humor, occasional pint with friends. And knowing Easter is coming.
