Disabled people have been right about almost everything that’s happened over the last five years.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

A few years ago, while teaching at a small country school, I was listening to a podcast during my plan and came across this motto. It knocked me off my feet. I was teaching students who didn’t believe that college was a path. “Don’t take choices away from future you.”

Blue sky feels amazing but also terrifying. It’s a blue dot heaven. But my state superintendent did just create a department of “Religious Liberty and Patriotism”. So it also may be the reason I lose my teaching certificate.
