The national parks, in the words of Ken burns, are america’s best idea. To gut their protections and maintenance is obscene and idiotic and should be seen as sacrilegious imo

NEWS: Last night, the Department of Homeland Security detained a Palestinian who helped lead the Columbia encampment.

Agents told him his visa was revoked. He said he had a green card. They were confused—then said that was revoked too.

His attorney demanded a warrant. Agents hung up instead.

I've seen a lot of posts about how shitty the bomb was and folks, if someone makes a bomb that blows up when they want it to blow up they are automatically in the top like, 1% of bomb-guys
Fellow soldiers say the Army sergeant who detonated a homemade bomb packed into a Tesla Cybertruck in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas could have done far more harm. Investigators are trying to figure out why he didn’t.

Check out Roman’s thread regarding the depravity of the ultra-sadist groups currently causing hell for anyone vulnerable. Roman is one of the greatest journalists of this era for real.
A deep dive into the dark world of so-called 'COM'/'764' chat groups, which push vulnerable individuals toward self-harm, animal cruelty, and even suicide: Samuel Hervey died a horrific death in front of a camera, encouraged and even cheered on by members of these chat groups.

this guy wore a mask and didn't keep his cell phone on him when he fled and as a result a police department that is itself one of the largest armed forces and intelligence agencies on planet earth is completely flummoxed
One of the NYPD brass said “this isn’t blue bloods” when explaining they can’t just immediately find the guy and I like that years of copaganda have set standards cops can’t meet and might be contributing to people’s correct perception that cops don’t effectively stop crime or find killers.
