LA Mayor Karen Bass calls ICE raids "unlawful and chaotic" and "unconstitutional." No argument here.
But when it comes to LAPD, agency she actually has oversight of, she hasn't said same of officers assaulting journalists (for just doing their job). She's known for YEARS.
The dissonance is wild.

Historically, the staff will abandon it down to a skeleton crew. Prisoners will be forced to deal with flooding & impotable water sources. Maybe three personnel officers will remain behind with the keys to everything but yah, they just end up locked up, trying not to die in their cages per the norm.
I think we need to find out Florida’s plan for the Everglades migrant detention facility for when a hurricane strikes. These are tents, filled with thousands of people, surrounded by wetlands. Where will they be evacuated to? How do you evacuate so many people?

I think every member of the California National Guard and the Marines who continue to support ICE operations are traitors and people should spit in their faces and call them traitors and cowards.

A concentration camp is a camp where they concentrate people. The legal show-trials of your local prisons are this, but with show trials. Modern prisons are materially no different in definition.
When most people think concentration camps, they mean “death camps.” This is what we actually see.

Seeing too many secession fantasies here, so to repeat... If California secedes, then many other states will, too, indicating that democracy leads to dissolution of republics, especially across large land masses, calling for more autocratic systems of government to maintain cohesion -- which is bad.
