The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

After years of naturally incorporating propper reported speech rules in my use of English, I got so comfortable that I've recently gone back to making mistakes. Everything else improved from accent to vocabulary, but the past of the past is apparently unnecessary according to my brain.

The way I tell someone their room is messy:
"Your room is the kind of rooms and houses they make TV shows about where the show host and the family members of the person living there gather and cry about how difficult it is to see someone in those conditions"

Language industry friends: how has AI affected your career?
Being careful not to misattribute to AI what economic factors account for, do you feel AI adoption has changed demand for your services, or the way you offer them?

What are we going to do about the fact that social media is being invaded by bots, especially comments? What are we going to do about this scandalous lack of legitimacy? I still haven't guaged the degree to which BlueSky is affected. But I can fairly say that the other platforms are cooked.

Walnuts in urban Tunisian dialect are a feminine singular noun.
No plural.
And that is driving me nuts!

I just saw a Facebook post by one of those random history fact accounts that ended with "Credit to whom it may concern," and . . . no. That is not at all how that works.

Interest rates slightly lower in Tunisia.
It is huge news for interest rates to go down in the MENA.
Hope things get more liquid without problems being inflated 😎

Tunisian dish I discovered today:
"Berkoukech with 7 Meats"
This dish features a rich mix of seven meats and seafood, typically selected from: young camel, rabbit, chicken, mutton, veal, turkey, stingray, octopus, and Salema porgy.

American life will be too challenging economically it hurts. This is a fact.
Therefore, economic populism like the one exercised by Trump, Zohran Mamdani, and lately Marjorie Taylor Green is rising.
The combo of rational center, calm communication, and empathy will be a winner.

1/2 Kind is gentil.le in French. It's covers much the same semantical field as kind
In Arabic, the word for kind is طيّب which covers all the meaning Tony stated + a moral connotation of:
- good: as opposed to evil
- benign as opposed to pernicious. this has *both* a religious use and a culinary use
1/2 #WorldKindnessDay The English word ‘kind’ is complex, incorporating a number of connotations or nuances: actively sympathetic, empathetic, compassionate, caring, expressing and practising fellow-feeling…perhaps also warm, friendly and emotionally ‘literate’.

I give good advice.
How do I know?
Whenever I run through a problem, I always recall something wise said about that kind of situation without being sure who said it, for it to turn out to be me having shared my wisdom with a stranger on a fb group.
Most of that advice is propably mom's.
