Not weird at all
But it’s probably a teardown for a monster house. Would it have sold for a million if it was in bad shape? (Maybe, actually - double lot. 🤷‍♀️)

I've got one of these right now. Job & insurance. This woman is going through it & taking me with her. 2025 Suburban, tho, and it apparently requires quotes from every insurance agent who ever lived &/or died & possibly a few who've traveled here from the future IDK it's ridiculous.

Oh that’s right! Def not a full interior reno, just updates. I looked at my texts & remembered it also felt like the stairs were slightly canted as well, seemed like a potential structural issue, not just settling but idk. I was just being nosy, not actively looking so I don’t have notes.

I was really surprised by this one. I did angle around to try to get a look at the basement foundation but we were short on time & didn't want to get run over. my brother (civil engineer) arrives in the morning, maybe we can fit in a stroll if they haven't pulled out that masonry & see what he sees

this was a funny little 1933 house on a double lot. I always hope we'll at least get multiple affordable units built in their place but I'm seldom rewarded.

I only saw demo crew members & I had to get home for a meeting so I didn't nose around, but at least from the way they were operating today it looks like they were conserving the fence. Maybe? LMK if you learn anything! I probably won't be back by there for a few days.

am I remembering right - hadn't it just had a ton of interior work done? I remember the open house, right after torrential rains & we joked that it was the best possible demo of the house's waterproofing. I haven't studied the plat (yet) but I thought the house was on 1 lot & the 2nd lot was empty.

It’s a really good article! Award-winning, even! But also, the rules!

I am sooooo sorry. I felt stressed out just reading this. I hope it stops. Soon. Sooner. Soonest. Ugh.
