Why do I always get caught in this worm hole of arguing correctness with AI. It’s just a dumb inference engine. 😡

1) Some people work really hard to produce something valuable and of interest.

2) Some people work really hard to criticize every little details of other people work.

Choose your battle appropriately.
I prefer 1).

New App Review rule 5.1.2(i):

“You must clearly disclose where personal data will be shared with third parties, including with third-party AI, and obtain explicit permission before doing so”.

— will have AI powered apps popping alerts all over the place.

Fun times ahead…

Looks like I was refunded.
I think this AI Translator app category is quite predatory with a $6.99 / week pricing with a 3-day trial.

3-day trial should not exists. Which reminds me of the AmpMe drama…. Ouch.

How should I interpret this new App Review Guideline:
“4.7.2: Clarifies that apps offering software not embedded in the binary may not extend or expose native platform APIs or technologies to the software without prior permission from Apple.” 🍎

People don’t read explainers. We added a badge on our AppStore screenshots and within the app saying @oceanapp.bsky.social only works with Gmail and Google Workspace.

30% of our support emails is about “I’m not able to authenticate my account with (name any other providers). “

Believe it or not, Apple's Writing Tools Proofread function does everything most writers will ever need, and it does it privately. Apple Intelligence doesn't train on user data, store anything in a server, etc.

Oh, and it's free. Dump Grammarly.
