Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 95th day out of the last 107.

12 days of work in 107 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Release the fucking files before he bulldozes the entire White House! Think that can’t happen? Guess again. He’s just getting started.

Many people are outraged that Trump is demolishing part of the White House. But of course Trump can't do it without help. It's ACECO LLC of Silver Spring MD ("full-service demolition") that is tearing down the People's House. You can call them and let them know how you feel. 1/

This is the best political news I’ve seen in a very long time — so please pass it on👇

Each state can limit Citizens United in their own state & they don’t have to wait for other states to do it.

We need a law that states if Congress shuts down the govt, the House and Senate don’t get retroactive back pay. And if the issue isn’t solved within 30 days, they lose their healthcare.

The President is mentally unfit for his job. He is making
incoherent, rambling speeches, inciting violence, stating totally fallacious statistics, ranting manic praises of himself. Rs in congress are allowing this dangerous situation to continue. Their inaction is a act of treason.

The president just gathered the highest ranking officers in the military to tell them that he may order them to kill American citizens -- and that they better follow his orders. All in response to a series of crises that have no basis in reality.

I don't know how to yell any louder.

As you cancel streaming services, here is a casual reminder that only 16% of Americans read for pleasure anymore, and your local library has hundreds or thousands of books you haven't read.

They would love to see you stop by and renew your library card.

NIOSH is the research agency you've never heard of (and the whole world relies on) to keep workers safe on the job and help businesses create healthier workplaces.

And Trump/DOGE cuts have decimated it.

A bit of advice from @hcrichardson.bsky.social was to share with people the independent media or individuals who we trust to provide reliable information (and/or snarky commentary).
So @talkingpointsmemo.com and founder @joshtpm.bsky.social for the former and @gtconway.bsky.social for the latter.

The real issue isn’t left vs right.

It’s not white vs black.

It’s not citizen vs immigrant.

It’s not gay vs straight.

The real issue is that a lot of powerful people have a vested interest — and a lot of money invested — in dividing us, and it’s working.
