Skyward Sword would be nothing without motion controls, or at least the specific directional inputs in many of the game's mechanics. It's a majority of what makes Skyward Sword so unique from other 3D Zelda's even still.
If The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword were to have ditched motion controls from the beginning, would have it been for the better?

I don't think anyone is demanding that every person needs stacks of film, VHS, DVDs and Blurays but the fact is, owning physical media is the only way to guarantee access to what you wish to see in the future. We are seeing streaming getting yanked on a whim and it's only going to get worse.

Watching people have arguments about which console is better in 2023 is so funny to me. Makes me glad I grew up with Nintendo because I really realized how every console has its own identity and games. I can't imagine instantly hating on a game simply because it's not on the Xbox or vice versa
