Underrated thing that's been flying under the radar: ICE's hiring spree, by necessity since there are so few others willing and able, has been hiring away local cops, which infuriates the departments by causing manpower problems and is, ironically, removing the worst of the worst from their ranks.
The more local police see ICE assholes as criminals, the better it will be for us.

I read a lot of (probably fake) “AITA” stories when I’m unable to sleep but too brain dead to actually focus on anything. Idk how it happened, Facebook just started showing me a bunch and the light, fake gossip is perfect for my half asleep brain.

Lost power and I’m ngl I love that this happens every couple of months here. I’m having the most relaxed night in a while. Can’t put on my shows. Ate a basic dinner. Broken out of my shitty depressing routines. Just vibing by candle light and feeling no pressure to get anything done post-shift.

Languages are so weird. I’m getting some of my German back by learning Irish XD Because when my brain doesn’t know something in Irish yet, it reaches for “non English way to say this” and the German is just there!

Did a camping for the weekend. Met rescued bears. My wife insisted on anime posing next to “bussy” on the falls. She also caught 2 fish to my NONE. 10/10 weekend.

I have so many thoughts but the only one that feels safe to share right now is: I recognized a lot of Irish phrases and feel good about my progress with the language.
