If nothing is done about global warming the people in rural communities will be the most effected, particularly the farmers

I saw Brophy’s tent up in Cairns many years ago. Very entertaining & everyone had a great time. Fred (the best referee in the country)made sure nobody got hurt.
Give him a ring on the bell!

The tax concessions on superannuation are to help people get reasonable balances. Once you have $3,000,000 I think you already achieved that
A whopping 3.75% tax on $500k you say
The AFR's attack on the changes to how super will be taxed is glorious. In this example, they cite someone going from a super balance of $3.5m to $4m.

And having to pay $18,750 (3.75%) in tax on that $500,000. "Ouch"

They also make it clear the person did NOTHING to earn an extra $500,000

Peter Dutton might get over the line on One Nation preferences, pundits say — but is that just a variant on the same problem Labor faces?
Will Pauline Hanson be a kingmaker?
The growing support for One Nation likely means a less cohesive and secure Australia. But the media is focused on the lower house, where the flow of preferences is suddenly crucial.

I didn’t see many people in the pre polling lines today holding Labor how to vote cards. Maybe it’s going to be a lot closer than many predict#ausvotes

Trumpet of Patriots Wide Bay candidate Gabrial Pennicott was convicted & jailed for fraud in 2011. He skipped the country in 2004 after a series of failed investment & finance schemes in Victoria from 2001 to 2003. Extradited from Canada in 2007. #ausvotes www.abc.net.au/news/2025-04...
Would you trust a person convicted for fraud to represent you in parliament?
An election candidate's acknowledgement of his criminal past has prompted questions over whether a section of Australia's Constitution should be updated.

Anthony Albanese has called for fixed four year terms. Makes sense to me.
If you agree, RT.
Disagree, "like"?

I can’t believe “Honest John” would have deceived us
It's not normal for a Government to commit a country to war and then hide it from the public.

But time and time again, we have seen the major parties sell out the Australian public to win some brownie points with the US.
