Go check out Emma’s work! She did some amazing research and reporting to paint a picture of the current vaccine policy in the United States!
My latest piece dives into how RFK Jr.’s decision to fire all 17 members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory panel could upend the U.S. vaccine infrastructure. Thank you @mazygolucky.bsky.social for your help! #Vaccines #HealthJournalism #ScienceJournalism #ACIP

If you're trying to figure out what to do right now, my advice is to just pick a thing that you think might be useful in some way, however small, and do it. Doing a thing leads you to doing another, bigger thing, and prepares you for that next thing.

Please stop believing we don’t owe each other anything. We owe each other so much! We owe each other love, equity, understanding, community, compassion, and much more. Don’t let this toxic hyper individualism cut you off from humanity. We’re all connected. We all need each other.

Trump claimed that DOGE has uncovered billions in “fraud, waste, and abuse.” However, no evidence has been provided, and all public fraud claims from both Elon Musk and Trump have been debunked as false.

we need to make cynicism uncool.

like having doubts in your heart and being overwhelmed is one thing, but a lot of us got trained by twitter to post our most cynical snark for engagement and that broke something in a lot of us. (me included!)

giving up is not actually that sophisticated!
It is kind of hard to find out who the actual bad actors are and who are just lazy, cynical people who don't want to fight.

Hospital protests have begun for hospitals that are complying with an executive order banning gender affirming care.

The order does NOT have the force of law, but some hospital systems are too scared of trump to defend trans kids in their care.

This one at UVA Hospital.

Viral posts that claim the pilot of the Black Hawk helicopter involved in the crash in Washington DC was a transgender woman named Jo Ellis who deliberately caused the incident are false and baseless.

Jo Ellis has posted on Facebook to confirm she's alive, and not the Black Hawk pilot.

Even with DEI initiatives, disabled people are very much underrepresented in the workforce. Ableist stigma drives that. The same ableism that Donald Trump showed in full display he has this morning at a press conference.

On day one Trump's EO said we were harmful to kids. On day two, it said we were dishonorable and disloyal. On day three, it said we were unAmerican.

Transgender people have been a part of this country for centuries.

We are not going anywhere.

Do not comply with these EOs, they are not law.

This is a well done article. Detention centers are basically code for concentration camps. And saying that this issue is about crime or drugs is a scare tactic based on falsehoods. Immigrants are just trying to build a better life and no person is “illegal” that’s dehumanizing fascist language.
Last week our county commissioners sent a letter to the Montana Congressional Delegation offering our largest venue as a detention center for "illegal immigrants." People testified against the idea at the following commissioner meeting, and I wrote about it for the @dailymontanan.com.

Yellowstone County Commissioners heard much opposition and not a lot of support for a plan to make the MetraPark house detainees held by federal authorities.

If you’re a straight, cis person who has ever posted some version of a rainbow with “you’re safe with me” or similar, it’s time to back up the words with action— contact your reps and ask them what they’re going to do to protect trans people from this administration, particularly trans kids.
