Around 100 counterprotesters from Stand Up to Racism, Oxford for Trans Rights, and the Oxford Green Party chanting ‘We don’t want your culture war’ were also in Bonn Square. Thames Valley Police were present to keep the various protests separate.

I thought @zackpolanski.bsky.social was brilliant on #BBCQT tonight despite a hostile panel and personal attacks. Calling out fascism and racism rather than blaming immigrants, calling for a wealth tax rather than blaming poor and disabled people for needing a properly funded welfare system.

Inspiring to be a small part of a movement that's bringing hope rather than hate and light in what can sometimes seem like ever darker times. 🏖️☀️💚
