Viewers will be able to pay $7 per month to get the new CNN streaming service. CNN is trying to go digital once again. The failure of CNN+ in 2022 hasn’t dissuaded Warner Bros. Discovery from making the news channel’s content available to streaming subscribers, and the company has tried to do so in multiple ways in the intervening years. Its latest effort is to launch what it calls the All Access subscription tier of CNN, and we now know when that will happen and how much it will cost. All Access is gearing up to launch on Oct. 28 and will cost $7 per month or $70 per year, though new customers can enjoy an introductory offer of $42 for their first year of service. CNN All Access will have a “selection of CNN’s live U.S. and international programming,” so while we don’t yet know exactly which shows from the channel will stream with a subscription, some live content from the network will be available. The All Access subscription will also have original content, films, and other on-demand content. “No one covers the world like CNN. Discovery has been preparing the ground for the new CNN streaming offering for some time. The company announced earlier this month that it planned to stop streaming CNN content on HBO Max in November, meaning viewers will have to sign up for a CNN digital product to watch the channel’s content without a pay-TV subscription. WBD launched CNN content on HBO Max at no additional cost to subscribers of that service in 2023. Current pay-TV subscribers with CNN in their package will be able to watch CNN All Access at no extra cost, but will need to subscribe to CNN Basic to read unlimited articles from the platform.
