Happy Election Day! Voting is a fundamental part of a strong Democracy and watching millions of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Oregonians exercise that right should remind us all that our Democracy is worth continuing to fight for.

Fascism’s greatest fear is a well-organized, peaceful movement. This weekend, people across our country are standing together to meet hate with unity, lies with truth, and fear with courage.

Heck yeah! Jeff Merkley is running for re-election, and Oregon couldn’t ask for a stronger voice in the Senate. He’s fearless in the fight for working people and unafraid to take on the powerful. I’m proud to stand with him and damn excited to see him back on the ballot.
We're in a critical moment for our rights, our democracy, and a future where every American can thrive. I've been thinking about how I can best keep fighting with you for a country that's fair, free, and built for all of us. Watch below to find out!

History won’t forget this big, ugly Republican betrayal — nor will the families forced to live with its consequences.

I am using every single tool at my disposal to protect our rights. I will never back down. But I need your help, because public pressure is our most powerful tool. Share online how Trump is impacting you and your community. Let’s start a movement that can’t be ignored.

While billionaires buy influence and extremists push fear, we build community. Block by block. That’s real power.

Republicans are launching an all-out attack on Medicaid, risking millions of lives. As 1 of just 6 Democratic doctors in Congress, I’m fighting back. But I need you. My friend @aoc.bsky.social made it easy to call your Reps and speak up before they slash this lifeline.

Today, Portland sent a clear message:

We won’t let Trump, Musk, and their enablers drag us into authoritarianism — or sell out our future to oligarchs.

I’m proud to stand in this fight — in the streets and in Congress — to defend our democracy and put working people first.

We are not backing down

Trump and his billionaire buddies like Elon Musk won't buy our democracy or silence our voices.

Oregon is taking to the streets. Hands off our bodies. Hands off our democracy.

Join me at the Hands Off mass mobilization on April 5 at 10:30AM at the East Portland Post Office on 103rd and Stark.

People will be assaulted and killed and the executive branch will be at fault. This is absolutely unacceptable and should be stopped by the courts.

If only we had someone, a Chief Justice so to speak, who was in precisely the position to stand up for an independent judiciary by publicly refusing the request on behalf of all judicial branch employees.

Oh well!
With Elon’s “tell us what you accomplished last week or you’re fired” emails: I can confirm that he didn’t limit himself to the executive branch. He sent them to employees of the judicial branch as well.

Democrats, it’s time to figure out whether you are going to be a part of fighting the Republican-led demolition of our government or whether you want to sit back and take shots at Democrats making an effort. If that’s your goal, can you please sit this one out?!

A 🧵 on the ERA and Biden ensuring it is published:

I was born in 1972 - the year Title IX and the ERA passed both the House and the Senate. Since then, the required 38 states have ratified the constitutional amendment to require equal rights for women, meeting all requirements to become law.
