I talk to federal workers every day who say, “it is so hard and I don’t know how I keep coming to work.” But you do.

Always proud to stand with AFGE and fight for federal workers. #UnionStrong

Great to see @lanetitans.bsky.social and Linn-Benton Community College in DC to discuss improving the Pell Grant program, strengthening education workforce development and supporting childcare services on college campuses. Go Titans and Roadrunners!

Oregonians are getting a big upgrade to the Amtrak Cascades route later this year! My team got to tour the Airo trainset today, and let me tell you, this will make the beautiful PNW rail trip even nicer.

How the hell are people still unclear about our 1st Amendment rights? Freedom of religion.

We need to understand how we got here so we can be better. Every. Single. Day.

This is rigging the system against workers, especially our public servants.

This isn't "putting American workers first."
The Trump administration's decision to eliminate the Merit Systems Protection Board, an independent agency that reviews federal workers' appeals to mass firings, is blatantly rigging the system.

The communities that rely on an impartial public service workforce will pay the price.

Late last night President Trump posted a disturbing and incredibly racist post on his personal social media attacking the Obamas.

Such hatred and racism has no place in the Oval Office. Or anywhere for that matter.

People of conscience must condemn this behavior. It’s disgusting.

Being detained in an ice facility should not equal a death sentence.

We will not normalize cruelty as public policy.

Great to see my friend, @afacwa.org President @flyingwithsara.bsky.social and @afadelta.bsky.social yesterday at the Labor Caucus. Your work keeps us safe in the skies, and we stand with you.

Eugene has a long history of speaking out and standing up for what’s right. And we will continue to do so.

We don’t need federal help. We’ve got it.

This morning we were outside ICE’s headquarters to make it crystal clear: Kristi Noem must go and ICE must get out of our communities NOW. Later today I’m voting hell no on DHS funding, this iteration of ICE can’t be allowed to stand.

After months of bargaining, OSEA, the union representing classified workers, from front office staff to janitors, secured substantial pay raises and stronger specialized needs training and staffing guidelines. These workers are critical to the operations of our schools and taking care of our kids.

When I was in Minnesota, community leaders said over and over again that peaceful protest was key. They had been providing constitutional observer training for nearly a year before thousands of ICE agents were sent to Minneapolis. Breaking into the federal building isn’t peaceful protesting.

I just met with four of my constituents who are being held at the Tacoma ICE facility. They are not “the worst of the worst”. I will be following up with lawyers and maintaining direct contact so that they do not get lost in our broken immigration system.

I joined the Monopoly Busters Caucus tonight to talk about our state's win that blocked the Kroger-Albertsons merger when I was Attorney General.

I appreciate the focus on affordability from our members of Congress. Proud to name Congresswoman Jayapal Washingtonian of the Day.

1/ As someone who is not a member of law enforcement but has heard from many members of law enforcement, I think it is essential to differentiate between what is happening with ICE and how local police and sherrifs are trained to operate.

I am horrified that ICE has murdered another person in Minneapolis. ICE and CPB agents are not above the rule of law. This administration is gaslighting the country and ruining public trust by telling people what they see isn't true. I urge the Senate to do the right thing and block DHS funding NOW.

Roe v. Wade safeguarded the fundamental freedom to bodily autonomy. On what should have been its 53rd anniversary, the fight to protect our rights isn't over. I stand with the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social and @reprocaucus.bsky.social y.social to protect reproductive rights nationwide.

We swore an oath to defend the very Constitutional rights that have been aggressively violated by Kristi Noem’s DHS. I will not send a single cent to ICE so long as they cannot abide by the clear principles this country has followed since 1791. Today, I am voting NO.

1/ Citizens United kickstarted the downfall of our democracy 16 years ago.

Now, unlimited and undisclosed outside spending has reshaped political priorities, bought favors and taken over tv ads.

Dr. King believed in the power of solidarity to move our country forward. As we face incredibly challenging times, we are reminded that the time is always right to do what is right. We must come together to protect one another, speak up for what’s right and push for an America that works for us all.
