The version passed in 1972 reads:
“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”
It is time to publish the ERA.

President Biden has an opportunity in the coming days to instruct the U.S. Archivist to certify and publish the ERA - it has hurdles to come, but this is a critical next step.
We all can have an impact by raising the visibility of support for this now.

I grew up playing sports, working in a union job and attending medical school. None of that would have been possible without dedicated champions for equal rights for women.
