I wish I could share a relevant anecdote here about something a publisher once said to me but I am too discreet. HOWEVER, if you're ever told the key to an author's success is something that isn't writing books, run.

Incredibly unsettling, superbly paced, and with a moment that had me whisper ‘oh no oh no oh no’.
