Cook.
It's a spectacular level of brass neck. The BBC made him.

I think he just doesn't understand having the piss taken out of him and it enrages him. Fucking weirdo.

I agree (Buffy was a bad example, though I do think it was subject to the law of diminishing returns), The Wire was designed to be that way (and was wonderful), I think what I was getting at was a more modern tendency to take things which are basically a bit silly and treat them far too seriously.

This tendency toward overarching narratives is self-indulgent I feel, and built for obsessive fandom. Witness Dr Who trying to engineer everything so it's canon. Buffy suffered from his as well, when it switched from just being monster of the week to "Oh God there has to be a story"

Ah, sorry, didn't read far enough down.

Yep, I've found it does it when I have poor signal, refreshing normally does the trick.

Nice finish, that.

This implies the existence of unnecessarily bullish ice cream parlours.

I think Everton and West Ham both struggle with their history in that regard. Man U too, to an extent. I sometimes wonder if L'pool and Arsenal's reputations for historically being pragmatic are actually an advantage for them. It's kind of expected if the Arse stink the place out winning 1-0

Oh that's so good. Very respectful.
November 9, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Yep, 48, so bang in that cohort, it's taken me years to grow out of it
November 9, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Hahaha, I was just about to say
November 9, 2025 at 9:35 AM
