Millions of Soviet Communists—an estimated 20 million—died during World War II for absolutely nothing, as they could simply have teamed up with one of their number

There's a point at which a lie about an event in history is so egregiously offensive it should separate you from polite society forever

Over on X, Musk continues to gaslight the undereducated maga crowd about how government works. He’s also accusing the U.S. government of mishandling tax dollars. This is all to sow seeds of doubt and empower his mission to not just dismantle our institutions, but to steal money from Americans.

Please extend my trolls your every sympathy for this propaganda disaster.

President-elect Elon Musk's vice president, Donald Trump, is having a meltdown right now.

What's the brilliant tactic of changing his demand to extend the debt ceiling for 5 years when 38 Republicans voted against extending it for 2 years? Or is he just typing out of anger?

Chaos and dysfunction.

I’m old enough to remember when Trump shut down the government because he didn’t get more money for the wall than he had asked for, and then caved after he got less money for the wall than he had shut the government down for, but nonetheless claimed victory.
Trump claiming he agreed to the new budget deal because he got a two year extension of debt ceiling. In reality Trump could've easily achieved that next year when GOP control House and Senate. This is Trump saving face!!

The strongest case I've seen urging Dems to act like a real opposition party is this by @jamellebouie.net.

Buttering up Trump (and Musk), seeking "common ground" with backsliding into authoritarianism, is not only bad policy and bad politics, it's a disservice to the millions who voted against it.
