The Supreme Court, Presidency, Senate and two party system are all quite anti-democratic institutions as presently constructed.

The only disagreement I have with this piece is that National Guard troops,like all US military, volunteer for service. Many NG enlistees are Regular Army rejects. Not all; some. Give them any kind of sustained rigorous duty and they will quit.

I agree. Current events transcend political platform talking points. The Constitution and -up till now- inherently democratic American values and ideals are being torn down. You're an American -- or you're anti-American.

I like this guy. Unfortunately, the governor in my state is silent. Ferguson's never been a good public speaker. If he's standing up for us in my state we wouldn't know about it.

Oregon National Guard Adjutant General, General Gronewold says if they are federalized, that he will advise the Title 10 commander to utilize National Guard Troops to PROTECT protesters at ICE facilities. This is the right answer.
