Went on a family vacation to D.C. a month ago and the only scary part was the heat and humidity. Trump just wants the national guard there so he can make up some excuse to declare martial law. He's seizing control before the Epstein files are leaked/released.

It goes without saying that Defense leaders shouldn't be doing military planning on a commercial app. But the issue here isn't just OPSEC. Especially in security matters the govt often has to act with great security. And some of those secrets have to be kept for a long time. But they're the US ...

Great thread and insight
As always, not a lawyer, but one thing that leaps out at me about how things are going down in the courts right now is that the US court system is not designed to be responsive to a crisis like this one. A crisis like this one is not what it's FOR.

It's clear that we're heading towards at least one major catastrophe -- economic collapse, government failure, health crisis, maybe all of them -- and it's baffling to me that some Senate Democrats seem downright *eager* to claim their share of responsibility for the coming wreck.
Snipping one part of this to again note: it seems very few members of Congress realize what their lives are going to be like in the near future when Trump/Musk rip out some of these gears that run the America machine. They will face angry mobs everywhere they go, including their homes.
