Had to buy a new multimeter because I can’t find the right-sized battery shrapnel to replace a broken contact in my otherwise fine Fluke multimeter.

A. Whole. New. Multimeter.

Fluke doesn’t consider 5¢ bits of easily-removable metal in a battery compartment “user-replaceable” 🙄 #RightToRepair

I'll probably jinx myself for saying this, but my 2018 MacBook Pro is running surprisingly well after updating to macOS 15.3.2

Even the accursed butterfly keyboard is behaving; no double-taps yet.

Well done, Apple.

Going to physical therapy for my knee has convinced me that sitting is destroying our bodies.

We can have perfect form in our squats and dutifully mobilize after every session, but 1 hr in the gym simply can’t counterbalance 8 hrs sitting at a desk.

Gotta move.

If I told you there was a 20% chance or higher of going to the hospital if you ate from a certain buffet, would you eat from it? Hell no, and you wouldn’t let your kid eat from it, either.

Yet somehow people think those odds are no big deal when it comes to measles and vaccinating their kids? Smh

In case the tariffs don’t convince Mexico and Canada to boycott our exports, the threat of contaminated foods will.
USDA has eliminated two food safety advisory committees for microbiological contamination and meat inspection. Most recently, they had been reviewing regulatory approaches in response to the fatal Listeria outbreak from Boar’s Head meats and fatal Cronobacter contamination in powdered infant formula

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has eliminated two committees that advise it on food safety, the agency said on Friday, raising concerns about government oversight of the food supply as the Trump administration seeks to downsize the federal bureaucracy and slash costs.

“People are fed up with disposable products and locked-down devices. Repair is the future, and this moment proves it.”

Agreed. #RightToRepair is a moral imperative in our throwaway culture. We deserve the freedom to fix what we own, especially as we face rising prices and tariffs on new products.
