basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

Trump pardoned Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht, who was sentenced to life in prison for running an online platform where drug dealers conducted more than $200 million in illegal drug sales.

He doesn't care about Fentanyl.

I'm not even going to ask about the price of eggs, but how's the TikTok ban coming along?

Man, this guy truly delivers. What a closer...

As @monikab.bsky.social points out: 80% of German voters favored a party other than the far-right AfD that Musk/Trump/Vance have been pushing for months. They underperformed against expectations, but more than in past elections. What lessons should we take? www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Eighty percent of Germans voted against the far right. Can that happen here?
A reminder that the small-d democratic tent is big.

This is true, but also the exit poll indicates the AfD underperformed their recent polling and came in a rather distant second to the boring post-Merkel conservative union. www.tagesschau.de/wahl/archiv/...
BERLIN (AP) — Exit polls show Alternative for Germany on course for strongest far-right showing in a national election since WWII.

The CDU should do something funny and bring Merkel back as ambassador to the US.
lol the AfD, the far-right party boosted by vance and musk, did not win and will be shut out of power in the coalition govt — so now trump is claiming the mantle of the “conservative party” (which does not mean what he thinks it means) as a big win for him

We're just a couple of days into the new regime and the dude who ran on "the price of eggs is too high and only I can fix it" has achieved the perfect thing again: now no grocery store has any eggs for sale.

This, in a nut(egg)shell encapsulates everything about trump.

What a day for it, what a time to be alive. Citizenship level unlocked - finally.
