Possibly one of the most exhausting things about this season has been the relentless whining about our best young players. Whether it's Phil or Rico or Jeremy or Savinho. These players are the future of the club and yet weekly I read angry missives about how they're all not good enough.

Taking into account injuries and age. Walker Gundo Bernardo Stones Kovacic and Ake all need replacing. Then you’ve got the other areas of the squad that need upgrading. It’s looking very much like City will need to spend big in multiple windows. So much work to do. As bad as end of Pellegrini era.

Yeah City didn't win, but all things considered I didn't think it was as bad a performance as some portrayed it to be. We have a heap of players out and a fair few are running on fumes but they fought for 90 minutes and never gave up. That means something to me anyway.
