The Italian city of Bologna lowered the speed limit to 30kmh (~19mph) on two thirds of city streets, and the safety benefits of slower traffic are obvious. In 2023, 21 residents were hit and killed by drivers, but last year no pedestrians died due to traffic violence. 🚸
