When playing DND or DMing do you use PMs or notes to advance your player’s narratives? (or as a player have you received them?)
I sent PMs to my players about dreams and visions that they were having and I got positive and excited feedback from some of my players!

I’m having trouble thinking of a plot hook for a 5e campaign set in Middle-Earth. I get stuck at Gandalf, arriving in the shire high on halfling leaf gaining the trust of respectable gardeners.

I really like the college of dance bard as an idea. I rolled a character at level 5 and I’m wondering about some multi-class options. Monk seems good, so does fighter, but every time I it seems so much better to just stay with bard.
Have you played it? How would you want to use it?

Finished Eve of Ruin chapter 2!
Skipped chapter 1 because it was so similar to nest of the Eldritch Eye.
The story feels MacGuffiny but my players are really enjoying the dungeon crawl! I’ll add an artifact quest along the way.
