If you did it, did you find the experience clunky or too much work as a DM?

As a player was it always enjoyable or if you’ve never experienced this, would you like it?

Yeah, I levelled up before the session so that they could fight at lvl 12. I thought it would just take too long to have them level themselves up in the middle of the session. We’re playing the new Vecna campaign so they jumped a lot of levels recently so I think they’ll appreciate the time.

That sounds really cool. I’ve never been able to get my players to buy in heavily with factions and their own character’s development to have them aware of factions in advance. But I feel like LOTR is a good opportunity to try because of how established the setting is.

I think that’s some good wisdom. I hadn’t decided on a BBG yet but maybe at least I’ll think about a good problem in the intermediary.

I was thinking maybe I could start with them finding some corrupted woods and lean into some thing about a graveyard of the Entwives and what corrupted them!

I’ve never started a game with that much intensity haha!

I should maybe think about bringing more liveliness to the first time we sit at the table !!

For dance I watch vintage clips for inspiration and try to listen to music that I’m unfamiliar with so that I can mix what I’m trying to work on from the vintage clip with wherever the music inspires me to take it.

For DnD I just procrastinate actually writing anything down but I manage to read and think a little bit a few times ahead of my session. I mainly try to think about where the story I want to tell and the objectives of my players and their characters intersect in interesting ways. 1/2

NotW is so good! I haven’t even checked to see if the Doors of Stone was published in a few years…
