"All the signs are that new UK government is going to make the most important decision of its term in office in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately, it looks very much as if it will make the wrong one."

EU: "How about this?"
Lab: "No, not like that."

Let’s be clear.
Donald Trump isn’t interested in a better world… he’s interested in a better world for Donald Trump.
The next four years will be about him settling scores and creating a world in his own image. The man doesn’t have an altruistic bone in his body.

French pupils denied entry to the UK by British officials due to a trivial post-Brexit form error. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sad for those kids and so frustrating. Is this really what the UK voted for?

I’d add only that a) It’s clear many of the political & media figures deliberately ignoring these facts are playing with the sort of fire we saw on our streets this summer & b) Laura Kuenssberg’s failure to point this out to Farage was an appalling dereliction of duty.
Some people in recent days have alleged a ‘cover-up’ over the grooming & rape of hundreds of young girls in predominantly northern UK towns, leading to calls for a ‘national’ public inquiry into child sexual exploitation

FWIW here’s a non-exhaustive list of inquiries into #CSE in last 12 yrs…

Wearing a mask these days sure gets me a lot of people asking “are you sick?”

I wish there were a succinct (and non-argumentative) way of saying, “no, I’m just unusually dedicated to, you know… the opposite of that”
