A reminder that the word 'terrorism' has no value. It is selectively applied to different people and groups and places, by the US government, and the West more broadly, based on self interest and convenience. (Until a few months ago, the US had a multi-million-dollar bounty on al-Sharaa's head.)

JD Vance, devout Catholic who prides himself on being a deeply moral person, learns that the government of which he’s 2nd in command has just taken the lives of innocent people and responds with “Excellent.”
Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?
