I’m trying to recall Secretary Greg Moriarty’s finest hour. Was it signing the $45B (up from $35B) contract for 9 Hunter Class frigates (downgraded to 6 frigates for the same $45B) OR his judgement in hiring #RoboDebt’s Kathryn Campbell for $900K p/a👇? #auspol

If the question is "can you accuse Israel of genocide without fear of prosecution" and the answer is anything other than an unqualified "yes", then there is something dangerously wrong with your "hate laws".

Any remaining faith we might have had in our political leadership and the broader political class--including the media--being capable of responding rationally to important matters has really taken a battering over the last few weeks.

There has been some crap attempts by centrists trying to paint Zionism as just believing Israel should exist & favour a 2 state solution.

Bullshit. Either support genocide or criticise the Zionists who do. Don’t give me your bullshit “oh Netanyahu is bad but let’s not be mean about Zionists” crud.

🇨🇦PM Carney just schooled our cowardly European leaders at #Davos. This speech was clearly aimed at them:

Gas reservation on new gas only🤦‍♂️! A 0% domestic reserve on massive amounts of existing gas and a 25% reserve on tiny amounts of new gas won’t do anything for electricity prices. A big win for the gas cartel. A massive loss for Aussies. #fail #auspol

If we should just implement all the recommendations from inquiries etc in full, we’re moving toward a situation where we would need to question what the point of having MPs even is.

Were I in a govt that really cared about kids, I’d be banning new coal and gas mines with rather more fervour than the current ban on social media.

Probably wouldn’t get the same boasting front pages in the Herald Sun and Daily Telegraph though…
