Shame that making the UK the most connected etc etc, centres around 1 airport at £49B* there is so much more to this country than LHR. Divert HS2 too for completeness.

*It will be way more than this and tax payers of the whole country will cover the gap 📍

Trying to explain to the nine-year-old - a Tottenham and England fan - that's she's basically already had a lifetime of success these past few years 🏆 The Lionesses have created a generation of fans who won't be weighed down by 'years of hurt'. An incredible achievement. Legends the lot of them 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

#lionesses are amazing, but the joy thieves are just as amazing in their urgency to bang on about irrelevant comparisons. Don’t watch if you’re stuck in 1966 or if you’ve no remain your immediate circle. 🤫🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁🏆🏆

The gap between what they say and what they do is incredible. Imagine how wild some of their policies will have to be 🤯

Dear @mcdonaldsjp.bsky.social it would be so great if you could capture the number plates of the drive through customers before they become fly tippers later. Plenty of other info in the receipt in the Asda bag for life 🙄

I guess Coke could choose to pay their workers more if a strategy flip is this easy. That the cane sugar version is known as Mexican coke is beautiful though.

👏 take a moment to appreciate the benefit and not stress about who or how. 1.7m children accessing funded early education is great news.
This is a huge achievement for the Labour government in its first year. Number of children accessing funded early education & childcare has increased by 33% in a year, reaching 1.7 million, an increase likely related to government initiatives aimed at expanding access to early education & childcare

Voter turnout is only c60% anyway, so this isn't really much of a story. Voter apathy was invented a long time ago, in some areas only 44% of edible voters actually do. How can voting be made more participator would have been a better survey. www.itv.com/news/2025-07...

While the headlines will, understandably, be about votes for 16 and 17 year olds, maybe the most significant part of this voter reform package is confirmation of a move towards automatic voter registration, even if the timeline for this is a bit fuzzy.

There should be some for of nation ID system in the UK, on top of extending the range of what counts as meaningful forms of ID. Why would anyone object to this is a time when all our information is being funnelled to FAANG and Palantir anyway.

Not before time that this was modernised. Plenty of 16 & 17 year olds supporting the military right now, and plenty in the work place contributing to the economy who have more than earned this right. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c9...
