We were discussing accents at work yesterday and how it’s weird that the US and Australia respectively have quite homogenised accents and the UK has tonnes compared to the size of the country
My theory is that with large countries there’s an interest in standardising so as you have to understand

One think I’ve only realised this year is when Christmas card shopping, there’s often “to mum” “to dad”, “to mum and dad” but never “to my dads” or anything that doesn’t fit a heterosexual relationship or single parents. Where’s the diversity of options?

I feel like big things are happening — I’ve got a contract offer for a freelance role (this is the closest I’ll ever be to being a cyclist) and then tomorrow we have an amazing interview releasing with one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet- who I met at Rouleur and who’s parents are famous too 👀

This is my second time being here, and if you followed me on my old account, then the honest reason I left was because I wasn't coping well with my Dad dying and I was pushing people away.
I knew I needed support, but I just didn't handle the grief of what happened properly, and I isolated myself.
