The real issue isn’t left vs right.

It’s not white vs black.

It’s not citizen vs immigrant.

It’s not gay vs straight.

The real issue is that a lot of powerful people have a vested interest — and a lot of money invested — in dividing us, and it’s working.

A little goodness for your feed…

I’m watching the streaming of my nephew’s middle school football game. The parents in front of the parents streaming are from the opposing team. When the opposing team scored, the parents in front stood up and cheered…

“the way to sesame”
you ask me, child,
how to get to sesame street—
where colors danced
and kindness had feet,
where the alphabet sang
and monsters were sweet,
where every soft soul
had a front-row seat.

but they cut the cords,
closed the gate,
turned laughter
into a budget debate.👇🏾

Sesame Street and PBS may get some federal funding, but they’re still nonprofits that need support. Buy their books, watch the shows (even in the background!), donate, start storytime with a Sesame friend. We’re not powerless—support them or build your own movement. It all counts. #Pinks

McMorrow: What Trump has done is weaponize us against each other, when everybody needs hospitals, good schools, and health care.

It has become this battle for scarcity, when we’re the wealthiest country in the world. We should not be fighting each other for our basic needs.

Please believe me when I tell you:

Double the fuck down on your spiritual practice now.

You are going to need it.

And no, that doesn't have to be a prayer-god thing.

The thing that sustains and nourishes you.

That makes you more alive to yourself, the world, others.

More present.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Composting food waste can reduce methane emissions. Easy to do. Proven technology. Really cheap.

The takeaway is not that electoral politics will fix everything.

We know it won’t.

Obviously.

The takeaway is that people will show up if you give them hope & a way forward.

And that, my friends, can & must look like a lot of things right now.
