My unpopular opinion is that Expedition 33 started incredibly strong and then fizzled out, with the twist between acts II and III making the whole thing instantly retroactively worse because it turned an intriguing mysterious puzzling story into something boring and overdone.

Our new old car, the Impreza, got back from a checkup at the mechanic (all the important stuff is healthy and it’s not rusted through, yay! Which is good because lots of smaller stuff cost us enough). And we did a little joyride. Which was a lot of joy!

My lil bro is a huge soulsborne fan, doing all those crazy challenge runs and the like. So when he told me silksong is ridiculously hard in a way that’s not really fun I kinda gave up on the game, because I’m old and bad at games. But hey, Hades II is out of early access so I feel consoled

Before I transitioned I had a bespoke flannel suit with trousers like that, it was my favorite. One thing I sometimes miss about being a dude is those clothes. But I can live without them, and could not live with everything else

I’m rereading Watts’ Rifters trilogy, just finished Starfish. I do still like it, I like Watts’ prose, the oppressive and claustrophobic vibe, the technical jargon, so many cool ideas…
But it is very edgy, especially with its depictions of sexual violence, and I don’t enjoy that.
