There’s an army of well paid Googlers making stuff up and few accessibility people who even can give feedback.

Even if we wanted to provide feedback for every nonsensical idea, we would not have time to do so. This is not on us.

Stop putting the responsibility on the community. It’s enough.

I really wonder how all the billionaire hedge fund guys that backed the Republicans and Trump feel right now.
Very, very stupid I hope.

If you create your designs in Figma and then hand them over to development it's worth setting the Include extension at exactly this point + handing over to your developers a design that has at least passed automated tests + is provided with a lot of accessibility meta info

Capitalization affects how people read hashtags or how people hear them on screen readers. Use #camelCase or #PascalCase in hashtags instead of lowercase. You could have #DoctorWhoRewatch ("Doctor Who Rewatch") or #doctorwhorewatch ("doctor whore watch.")

seems to me that if your AI thing is so incredibly useful you wouldn't have to opt-in people against their will, they would just uh use it y'know

Have to say it sucks watching millions get invested into AI tools for accessibility (which don’t work) instead of into disabled people with far more credibility and expertise

Spontaneous idea/question: What topic in web accessibility would you like to see a course on like ecommerce accessibility? The infrastructure is already in place – and I personally like to delve deeply into a topic & write about my insights and learnings, to pass on generally useful knowledge.

I am available for new contract work.

I have 20+ years 😩 experience in web design and development and I’m still learning. I have written courses and books that have influenced interface design across the industry. I love prototyping, writing documentation, creative coding, and #a11y.

What absurdity or crime comitted by Elon is enough for folks to leave „X“ for good? Supporting a facist seems to be not enough, it even leads to rejoining of political parties and politicians after xheap performative „we‘re leaving“ shows in the past.
