Look up "Supercharge" for Mac from Sindre Sorhus. Among other things, it brings the functionality to establish that Cmd+Q needs to be hold for ~2sec, before it triggers. That prevented me from accidential closures of apps.

I can edit here, so a manual addendum: "the 'shiny example', especially when it comes from an 'authority' like Google"

Also a reminder of the psyche of the common web developer: Many people stop there and use the "shiny example", although it's lacking basic features.

There’s an army of well paid Googlers making stuff up and few accessibility people who even can give feedback.

Even if we wanted to provide feedback for every nonsensical idea, we would not have time to do so. This is not on us.

Stop putting the responsibility on the community. It’s enough.

Canceled my hey.com account in disgust of this and especially DHH's take, in awe of the cognitive dissonance/facist fandom that's obviously at play here; regretting badly that I was once a 37signals customer and followed David's motor racing stuff.

It even starts with an assistant, leading you through topics like ARIA landmarks, headings, touch target sizes, contrasts and so on.

As I watched the episode I thought to myself „that’s an Cetacean Observations event right here“
