@lucidstew.bsky.social you’re now being quoted in the ‘press’ (not mainstream, but they do good stuff)

Works appear to have commenced for the St John St works. Street open southbound only, doesn’t appear to have an ‘except cycles’. @maclondon.bsky.social

@jonnelledge.bsky.social loved your newsletter piece on curation. I was similarly moved by Giuseppe Penone’s tree within a tree when I randomly wandered into the Hayward in 2020. The little tree is still IN THERE! Mind blown.

Good progress on the Boleyn Rd northbound cycle track. Looks like they’re about halfway up to Wordsworth Rd. @maclondon.bsky.social

I’m usually all about the bikes here, but I do have a soft spot for this one car - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It took me several months to build and we finally had our performance yesterday.

Level crossings going in on Newington Green right now! Hopefully this means the cycleway will be open in the morning. Delayed from last night due to a closure on Balls Pond road after an unfortunate pedestrian death.

Islington ROCKS! Or more specifically they’re placing the play boulders in the Mildmay Liveable neighbourhood

Been said before, but always good to reiterate and reinforce in mainstream outlets. LTNs are the only reason it’s safe for my kids to ride to school. They allow thousands of people who would otherwise feel unsafe riding to give it a go. Necessary and appropriate

Just ignore all the myths about low traffic neighbourhoods: they’re popular, effective and here to stay | Izzy Romilly
After the high court ruled one high-profile scheme unlawful, it is important to make the case for LTNs. Luckily, there is a strong one to make, says Izzy Romilly of climate charity Possible

This is interesting… Presumably part of Clerkenwell design week. Alternately, this house melted during our recent heatwave.

Finally! Hackney seems to have wised up to motorists driving over the pavement to avoid the Sturt St filter. New bell bollard went in yesterday. @hoxtonrich.bsky.social

Base layer going in on the Newington Green cycle track today (definitely another layer coming, as it’s below the drainage cuts). Nice new bollard as well to keep vehicles from turning left into the new track on Mildmay Rd. @maclondon.bsky.social

@islington-council.bsky.social you should be looking to do this in every ward.
The vast majority of car parking removed here and replaced with a playground, seating, greenery and bike parking

Really hoping these markings mean they’re adding some extra bollards at Sturt St to keep motorists from driving over the pavement.

Cleveland St bollard mysteriously reappears! I don’t think it was the council because it’s not locked.

"These emissions are largely unregulated by legislation and the study found that these 'non-exhaust' pollution sources are now responsible for the majority of vehicle particulate matter emissions in the UK and parts of Europe, with brake dust the main contributor among them."

Research shows move to electric vehicles may not be enough to enable pollution from cars to be eradicated
