I’m a little late to the game here. Mildmay filters went in on Oct 28th I believe. Southbound bus filter on Boleyn to come later. There’s also one on King Henry’s Walk I didn’t get a photo of, but definitely working, as the streets are much less busy!

Looking a lot closer to finished. Definitely done up to Pellerin Rd. still some work around the junction at Wordsworth Rd.

Some progress + contra flow wanded lane installed. Apparently they found some of the foundations for the old courthouse, hicks hall. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hicks_H...

@lucidstew.bsky.social you’re now being quoted in the ‘press’ (not mainstream, but they do good stuff)

Works appear to have commenced for the St John St works. Street open southbound only, doesn’t appear to have an ‘except cycles’. @maclondon.bsky.social

@jonnelledge.bsky.social loved your newsletter piece on curation. I was similarly moved by Giuseppe Penone’s tree within a tree when I randomly wandered into the Hayward in 2020. The little tree is still IN THERE! Mind blown.

This woodblock print by Werner Drewes also one of my fav’s. Fun fact two, I spent an entire summer inspecting that viaduct. We ended up meeting the guys at the fire academy and they gave us a tour. They actually have an entire (portion of) subway station and train in there to practice on.

Good progress on the Boleyn Rd northbound cycle track. Looks like they’re about halfway up to Wordsworth Rd. @maclondon.bsky.social

I’m usually all about the bikes here, but I do have a soft spot for this one car - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It took me several months to build and we finally had our performance yesterday.

Loads of progress last night. The southwest and mid-west raised tables complete and striped (still closed though). Still need to finish the last table on the southeast corner. Hopefully done by this evening.
July 4, 2025 at 8:50 AM
Hmmm, not quite finished. Perhaps a few more nights by the looks of it. I guess they can only add one layer at a time maybe?
July 3, 2025 at 8:52 AM
Level crossings going in on Newington Green right now! Hopefully this means the cycleway will be open in the morning. Delayed from last night due to a closure on Balls Pond road after an unfortunate pedestrian death.

Islington ROCKS! Or more specifically they’re placing the play boulders in the Mildmay Liveable neighbourhood

Looks like work has restarted, at least on Mildmay.

This is a wish list from the BID rather than a planning document.

Yeah, even in London it’s a pain in the ass riding transit with kids. However, driving is an equally bad option because of congestion, parking, etc, which is why I bought a bakfiets (before it was cool - rode it home from Amsterdam!). Plus I hate cars, so that was never an option.

It wasn’t, I saw tyre tracks on that side. You can see them if you zoom in.

New bollard alert! Hopefully this solves the problem for good. @hoxtonrich.bsky.social

Visited Westfield Ave today to check out progress. Cycle track completed from Montfichet to about John Lewis, I wish they were all this wide! Some good progress west of there. Paving the main carriageway today. Really like the massive SuDS and greenery.

Looks like Sturt St is getting further upgrades! Gate moved back and perhaps an extra bell bollard on the north side. I had noticed some tyre tracks to the north, so this should fill in the gaps!

This is interesting… Presumably part of Clerkenwell design week. Alternately, this house melted during our recent heatwave.
May 15, 2025 at 2:17 PM
Finally! Hackney seems to have wised up to motorists driving over the pavement to avoid the Sturt St filter. New bell bollard went in yesterday. @hoxtonrich.bsky.social

Newington Green works looking substantially complete. They were finishing up some paver work on the cycle track through Ferntower today. Still needs raised tables.
May 13, 2025 at 8:41 AM
More progress to the south, north side looks pretty much complete except top layer of tarmac. They were loading soil into the SUDs.
