Movement of Ideas & People is the Thread that Binds Human History. I want to share books & research that showcase it. I also believe Communists/Socialists have a lot in common with Liberals/Progressives. Neo-liberalism ≠ Liberalism.

Sending up gratitude for the judges AND, more importantly, the lawyers who are willing to fight for the rule of law.
As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.

The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

Maybe it's not the judges?

The Confederacy & Segregation came before Fascism & Nazism. In fact, Nazis rejected incorporating a few Jim Crow laws because they thought it was harsh.

this is why i say it's a form of hegemonic suicide. america had the entire postwar consensus built around it and decided liberal internationalism was woke
NATO leaders now speak Gaullism with an accent. Atlanticism is their first language. I do not think that will be the case 15-20 years from now.

Meta raked in $8B thanks to Trump’s first tax cuts. It donated $1M to Trump’s inauguration.

Comcast got $6.6B. It donated $1M to his inauguration.

Bank of America got $24B in tax subsidies, and you guessed it, donated to Trump’s inauguration.

This is who Trump governs for.

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

We’re only two months in, & they’re cancelling research into pediatric brain cancer. They’re deporting US kids with brain cancer. They’re putting millions at risk of malaria, TB, & polio.

I for one will never forgive or forget those who said ‘it won’t be that bad’.

America chose the Jim Crow Confederate over the daughter of a Civil Rights Activist who herself fought for our rights & equality going all to 2008 Great Depression Crash as California Attorney Journal. May her tribe grow.
America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here.

It’s been 30 years since I arrived in America. As a 12 year old refugee, I could have never imagined I would have the opportunity to represent the community that welcomed me with open arms 🥰. I'll be forever grateful for the American people who gave me and my family a second chance at life.
