Currently writing a time travel story using the same plot as the movie "the final countdown", where a bunch of South African Recce commandos are sent back in time to 19th century India and just go "f*ck this shit, wreck house" and go cray on the local superstitions.

I researched them and other proto-organized crime families from the 19th century back during COVID. And the main difference is that the Sicilian cosa nostra is far more brutal and blood thirsty than the pop-culture endrenched Five families that was formed later by meyer lansky and Lucky Luciano.
Yeah, a bunch of parasite rent seeking murderers.
It's always sort of interesting to me that American pop culture has such a romantic vision of La Cosa Nostra when if you go to Sicily the average person thinks they are thugs who should all be strung from a lamppost.

Suriname, 1989: mercenaries at ‘The Tasty Bite’, a bar in Moengo, which they renamed ‘The Nasty Bite’. Ex-French Foreign Legion thus their preference for wearing their green berets pulled either right or left. Jungle Commando patches can be seen on the shirtsleeves.

Nah, appearance matters... can't let them all run around in digital camo.
Being obsessed with the physical appearance of the troops is big time authoritarian coded

Orbs patria nostra, the deniable assets of France under Robert "Bob" denard operated in Sudan, Benin and other Francafrique nations, however their most famous operation was the invasion of Comorros islands.

4 July 1965, at Aketi west of Buta: a mortar team of Lt Col Roger Lamouline’s 6 Commando dissuade rebels from interfering during a helicopter medevac. The mostly-Belgian, French and Italian 6 Cdo had sub-units designated Groupes 60 –65 and Para, of which the latter was the most effective.

Read up on MK ULTRA, read up on BCIs that grant telepathy, read up on brain synchronisation, intuition training ( precog ) and retro-casuality.
I talk about parapsychology and extrasensory perception (or "psychic powers") because I genuinely do believe that stuff is real to some extent, maybe not materially, but at the very least we have hidden senses that can gauge and understand other people and their emotions in ways that language alone

Oh I know whom we can compare them to.

1. Gestapo
2. Vlakplass
3. Ton Ton macoúte
4. PIDE
The "Anti-ICE" shooter targeted only detainees, with bullets bearing "Anti-ICE" instead of the usual "F ICE" slogan, harming no agents. This suggests a false flag operation, indicating the FBI's effort to support a predetermined narrative.

Indian-south african SAP COIN personnel and Indian ( goan ) portuguese caçoderes in the border war and the COIN war in Mozambique.

Unspeakable horrors were endured by my relatives in SAP COIN.....
according to one book I read on the South African Border War

Angola's border with Namibia has huge flies that will attempt to crawl up your arse if you try and take a shit

sounds cool

Musk wouldn't have been conscripted either ways given the fact that he was not Boer. The national service for the "troepies" favoured Afrikanner kids.
Although the basic information re apartheid South Africa in this article is accurate it could've benefited by better structuring of information. Also note that the South African Border War (1966-1989) was in effect over by the time Musk graduated high school. He wouldn't have been conscripted.

The worst part about chronic loneliness is when you reach beside you at nighttime for a warm touch only to find a barren cold bedsheet and you realise...that has been the case for years now. And then you realise that the kid that dreamt of having friends...never really did so in the end.

Had Rakesh Saxena didn't call in these "heinous people" RUF would have pounded everyone. Same for the UNITA killing and maiming civilians.

Fuck the UN

Fucking hate groypers, they ruin everything. Main reason why I don't research Rhodesia.
The name “Crémieux” that Jordan Lasker uses is a specific, deeply anti-Muslim dog whistle: a reference to the Crémieux Decree — the official anti-Islam policy of colonial France, making Muslims in Algeria second-class citizens. Who the fuck even *knows* that, let alone makes it their _name_? Bigots.
