The reason they wanted the Lakin Riley act so badly is because being undocumented is a civil offense and not an actual crime. They wanted even the ACCUSATION of shoplifting to make them "criminals." Everything happening with TikTok this weekend is a show and happening outside the legal system. I’m looking at it this way: TikTok shut down to send the message to users that Trump wanted to fix it; TikTok is coming back up before the inauguration because Trump wants it up for his inauguration.
