Having my dad unexpectedly show up here made it really hit how far things have come. From dumpster diving for old bagels with a little toddler in tow, to discussing funding to study fracture sets in Sweden. I have had some insane luck and support!

Me: I want a boyfriend.
Gwyn: No you don't.
Me: excuse me?
Gwyn: How many guys have you gone out with this year but decided they were annoying or in the way?
Me: ...I really just want someone to make me pancakes....

Sometimes I wish people were more excited about things. I'll share a cool fact with people and get a "Yeah, that's nice." Then I feel weird for being excitable. How does it now blow your mind that people figured out isotopes? It's not a new topic for me, but how is reading ice and rock not amazing?!

Kirsten's family is delightful. Checking in while I'm sick. Kirsten is an Eagle Scout and the first person to befriend me last fall while sick and scared. Her mom helps rehome homeless people. Their family is taking in two stray geo students for Thanksgiving. <3 There are good people in the world!

Good article. We have reported about "Gender Exploratory Therapy" at EITM for years now - it's a subversive practice akin to "crisis pregnancy centers" that seeks to delay transition until the person gives up on being trans - they will NEVER let the trans teen transition.
Conversion therapy is quietly rebranding — and targeting trans youths
As political attacks on gender-affirming care escalate, parents and experts fear a resurgence of discredited “therapies” that seek to change transgender children’s identities.
